Woman==Geek is written by Jade, an artist/writer/geek turned blogger.  A graduate of New York University with a B.S. in Studio Art, she aims to carve out a space where women can analyze gender issues in traditional geek genres (science fiction, fantasy, comics, etc.) and celebrate girl geekitude and creativity.  An oddity amongst geeks, she loves science fiction, horror movies, fantasy novels, fashion, art, science, video games, making vague lists and writing about herself in the third person.  She likes to wax poetic about the mundane and think about the gender implications in everything from the greatest epics to the smallest memes.  As a geek/nerd she can postulate on a given topic for forever, so much patience is needed!  All are welcome: girly geeks, geeky girls, and anyone interested in women of the geek world!

She has a wonderful boyfriend, Boyfriend Scott, who is her partner in crime for game reviews and whose help with all things programming has been instrumental!
